A Mountainous Challenge! - 05/05/2009
One of Thorpe's CAD Designers, Mark Hedley, took part in the Three Peaks Challenge at the end of April. It was the first time Mark had taken part in this particular event.
"I slipped coming down Ben Nevis in the dark and had to do Scafell Pike and Snowden with an injured knee which was rather painful but still definitely worth it! The scenery was fantastic, the challenge was a lot of fun and I made some good friends so I would encourage eveyone to give it a go! My time from base to base was 28 hours and peak to peak was 23 hours and 40 minutes. I will definitely be doing it again - this time without injury (fingers crossed) and completing it base to base within 24hrs!" explained Mark.
Mark raised over £600 for Childreach (www.childreach.org.uk).
A good effort all round.
