What makes Thorpe Learning Environments unique? 

UK owned and based but operating both nationally and internationally, our products are high quality, flexible and adaptable.

We carry out work on new builds and refurbishment programmes including primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, academies and higher/further education establishments.

How do we do it? By working closely with teachers and students to explore their needs. We build a dialogue. Taking their ideas and our technical know-how, we design, develop and create learning environments. These environments include science, design and technology, ICT, art and design, libraries, secondary and primary classrooms (including teaching walls), special needs, early years settings and break-out areas.

From conceptual design to final installation and aftercare, we offer a completely integrated in-house, bespoke and multi-production service.

As well as the Education sector, our portfolio of projects includes Student Accommodation, Healthcare, Animal Welfare, and Laboratory.

We constantly invest in new technologies (over £1million spend on plant and machinery in 2006) for the manufacture of our furniture and our highly skilled workforce understands and interprets the needs of our customer base.

We take our corporate, social and environmental responsibilities very seriously and remain committed to constant improvement in environmental performance, sourcing materials from suppliers who have sound environmental and social policies.

We want to prove that with rigorous environmental controls and the effective use of state-of-the-art technology, UK furniture manufacturing is very effective. Our goal is to show that thoughtful design and quality furniture can help improve education for all students.
